SYNOPSIS

2006년 5월, 한 시골 마을이 지도에서 사라졌다.
평택 미군기지 확장 예정지인 대추리는 고립된 섬과 같았다.
반복되는 통제와 철거의 위협 속에서 사람들은 무엇을 하며 지냈을까?
대추리에는 지킴이라고 불리는 사람들이 살고 있다.

May of 2006, the Ministry of Defense enforces a move out of Daechuri in order to
make room for the expanding U.S. base.
‘Keepers’ who support the residents fighting against the action move into the village
to help protect it.
People who have lived different lives gather in the same space and try to
build a new community in Daechuri.



DIRECTOR’S NOTE

푸른 논을 점령한 군인과 경찰들, 농사를 짓지 않고선 살 수 없는 할아버지,
선택과 후회를 반복하며 마을을 떠난 이웃, 밥을 먹고 함께 농사를 짓던 젊은이들,
내가 떠나온 집. 대추리는 나에게 잊을 수 없는 기억이다.
사라진 대추리에는 지켜야할 기억들이 존재한다.

Small farming villages taken by the soldier and the police.
Old residents who could not live without farming.
Neighbors who left the village after long consideration.
Keepers who lived and farmed with the residents.
The house where I have left. It's all about my unforgettable memories of Daechuri.
The memories are still there.
